ENGRAVING

Born in Santiago, João Ramos has been an artisan for several years. Due to his mastery in working with coconuts and horns, he was invited to participate in the Voador platform, whose main objective is to promote and publicize the work of a selected group of local creators.

João Ramos told us:

- Participating in a project of this kind allows me to focus on the activity that interests me most, which is creation and production. Not having to worry about issues of visibility and dissemination of my work is very important. When I have to leave my workshop to sell, I lose focus on production and often, given the difficulties in selling my products, I get frustrated and this is reflected in my willingness to come to work again later, I have no desire to return. to the workshop and that's not good. My participation in a platform for selling and disseminating my work nationally and internationally is very important. On the other hand, it is important that, in addition to the possibility of selling my products, I also have the possibility of being known as a creator. I often sell them in stores, but the people who buy them don't know who makes the pieces and that's a shame. In an online store where there is my image and a small presentation of who I am, I feel that the authorship of my work is better represented.

We don’t have any products to show here right now.
