Born on the island of Maio, Manuel Silva (Fogo) has been an artisan for several years. Due to his mastery in tinwork, he was invited to participate in the Voador platform, whose main objective is to promote and publicize the work of a selected group of local creators. Manuel Silva works from drum sheet metal, which he reuses as raw material for his works. Manuel Silva heads the Calheta, in May.
