Sabino Gomes Horta is an artist from Espinho Branco who was born and raised in Chã de Ponta, high in the mountains of Santiago Island, Cape Verde, at the age of twelve he went to live in the village of Espinho Branco.
Educated in the principles of oral tradition, without knowing school or written words, he made his words his brushes and is currently one of the village's resident artists. He exhibited in S. Vicente and Santiago, Cape Verde, and participated in RabelArte international exhibitions, in France, Spain, Holland and Portugal.
