Yuran Henrique is from S. Vicente, Cape Verde.

His artistic creation essentially addresses painting, illustration and urban art. In 2017 he exhibited at the exhibition “Visual Arts – Contemporary Cabo Verde 2016” where he opened the exhibition “Reverso” (Palácio de Cultura Ildo Lobo), and participated in the VIII Biennale of CPLP Young Creators within the scope of the XIX Cerveira International Arts Biennial.

In 2018, his work was exhibited at the Atlantic Center for Modern Art in Gran Canaria and he participated in the collective exhibition of the XII Conference of CPLP Heads of State. He illustrated the "Literary Passport" project of the Embassy of Brazil in Cape Verde. In 2019 he participated in the collective exhibitions “Palácio Fora de Portas” (Hotel Perola and MCIC) and “Jovens Talentos” (Jean Piaget University), and was one of the guest artists at the VI Urban Art Workshop of the XALABAS Project - “Extratos” (partnership with photographer Nenass Almeida) and participated in several artistic residencies (national and international).

 

Since 2018 he has been a cartoonist for Expresso da Ilhas.
